Adirondack Community Trust (ACT)

General Information

GRANTMAKING AT ACT

ACT is a family of distinct charitable funds, each with its own name and purpose. These funds have been established by individuals, families and organizations as a way of providing charitable support to enhance the quality of life in the Adirondack region and beyond.

The vast majority of ACT's funds do not accept applications for support, as the grantmaking is either advised by a living donor or is predetermined by a specific fund purpose (such as an annual scholarship award or a designated annual grant to a specific nonprofit organization). Click below for a list of grants awarded by ACT funds:

There are, however, a small number of funds at ACT to which grant seekers can apply for support. Each of these funds has unique interests, from supporting youth to focusing on health to funding projects only in a particular geographic area. These funds use a competitive application process to make grant decisions, and are listed below under the "Grantmaking Funds" link.  We are currently working to update the grant applications for 2010.  If we do not have the 2010 application you need on the site, please contact the ACT office at 518-523-9904 or by e-mail at info@generousact.org.
