Adirondack Community Trust (ACT)

General Information

ASSET STEWARDSHIP

ACT invests its assets to provide support for the Adirondack region's current needs and to preserve charitable resources for use by future generations. Our investment policy and asset allocation strategy are developed based on the following objectives:

  • To earn a sufficient "real" rate of return that supports ACT's spending policy and maintains the purchasing power of its assets adjusted for inflation in perpetuity.
  • To control portfolio risk and volatility in order to provide as much year-to-year spending stability as possible and still meet ACT's return objective.

ACT's investment strategy is long-term and designed to achieve its objectives over time, accounting for both good and challenging years.

A list of investment managers, fees charged, and list of Trustees responsible for investment oversight is available upon request by contacting Cali Brooks at Cali@GenerousACT.org. (518) 523-9904
