COMMUNITY FUNDSGREATER MALONE COMMUNITY FUNDIn 2003, a group of concerned Malone community residents partnered with ACT to create a permanent endowment fund dedicated to serving the Greater Malone communities and its residents raised and allocated by local people, to address local needs. Today, over $70,000 has been raised for GMCF to support community needs and opportunities such as community beautification, historic preservation, education, culture and the arts, and programs for youth and senior citizens. Download the Greater Malone Community Fund grantee report The GMCF committee also established two other funds to support needs in the Greater Malone region: Bev Quenville Art Fund- to foster the connection between artists and community by mentoring students to design a project to enhance the community of Malone and the Alice Ballard Hospice Fund- to benefit Hospice serving Northern Franklin County. The Fund has always been overseen by community volunteers. The advisory council changes over time and the volunteers ensure that every dollar is spent well and wisely.
